WLCUYOUTH PROGRAM

LEB·o·lu·tion

Postponement of LEBolution 2025:

Given the current situation in Lebanon, we have made the difficult decision to postpone LEBolution 2025 until further notice. While we would have loved to reunite in our homeland this year, the safety and well-being of our participants and our communities remain our top priority.

Still, our commitment to Lebanon and its people remains stronger than ever. We encourage members of the Lebanese diaspora around the world to continue working for Lebanon, to stay engaged, and to keep faith in a brighter future. Every effort counts, and each of us has a role to play.

We will continue planning and preparing to ensure that when the time comes to return to Lebanon together, it will be an unforgettable and meaningful journey. A trip rooted in cultural connection, community service, and shared purpose—one that celebrates our heritage and reinforces our collective hope.

POSTPONEMENT

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the postponement of the LEBolution program to a later date.

This difficult decision comes in light of the concerning deterioration of the security situation in Lebanon and the region over the past few days. Several young participants who had registered for this initiative—originally scheduled for July 19 to 29—have expressed legitimate concerns and reluctance to travel under such conditions.

The safety and well-being of our youth remain an absolute priority for the WLCU. We remain firmly committed to offering young people of Lebanese descent the opportunity to reconnect with their heritage, discover the cultural richness of their country of origin, and strengthen their bond with the land of their ancestors.

We sincerely hope that Lebanon will soon regain the stability necessary to welcome our LEBolution program once again—an initiative that embodies the spirit of discovery and cultural pride that our organization proudly upholds.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support. We will keep you informed as soon as a new date can be considered.

With our most sincere regards,
WLCU – WLCUY President & Secretary General

RETROSPECTIVE VIEW

Exploring Lebanon is a central element of LEBolution. With strong support from Lebanese Ministries, Municipalities, and various public and private partners, we’ve taken an average of 200 LEBolutioners that have had the opportunity to travel across the country. Together, we’ve visited iconic landmarks such as the Baalbek ruins, Zahle, Tripoli, the legendary Cedar Reserves, ancient Byblos, Harissa, Jeita Grotto, Downtown Beirut,  Raouche, the stunning Beiteddine, Saida, Tyre, and more. We’ve also experienced local tourism gems like the charming village of Douma, activities like the traditional hand-painted Wall for Peace, pottery workshops in Rashaya El Foukhar, moonlit walks in Dhour Shweir, and festivals in Tartij and Faqra.

As part of the cultural program, we’ve engaged in discussions about the country’s current state with government, political, and religious leaders, visited the Lebanese Parliament, the Grand Serail, and the Central Bank, and participated in activities with the Lebanese Armed Forces. We also took part in international symposia at LAU with esteemed panelists and held our own WLCU Youth Congresses at every edition.

Alongside these enriching experiences, we’ve had plenty of fun and found ways to give back to our homeland. We’ve organized blood donation drives, hosted a symbolic Day of Peace, and engaged in integration activities with children of Lebanese Army martyrs. All of this was complemented by dabkeh workshops, beach parties, delicious Lebanese meals, a cultural exchange dinner, and the making of unforgettable new friendships to conclude this once-in-a-lifetime journey home!

TESTIMONIALS

What Previous Participants Say

“A Feeling Of Belonging”

My grandfather once told me I should have a house everywhere in the world, how ambitious! I thought. It is thanks to LEBolution that I understood what he meant with that quote. Having spent those ten magnificent days with two hundred Lebanese youth descendants like me, made me realize that I am part of a big community around the world that shares the same education and values. This feeling of belonging reinforced my personality and gave clearance to my life goals. If you read this and have not lived this experience yet don’t think it twice, and remember: baiti baitak.

“A Dream Trip”

Lebolution for me was a dream trip. Despite my occasional visits to Lebanon before, I have never seen its beauty and full potential as I did with Lebolution. The program is so much more than just a tour around Lebanon – it is a reconnection to our roots and the best possibility to get to know the rest of the Lebanese diaspora over one thing we all have in common: our love of Lebanon.

Mary Saliba (25), Denmark. LEBolutioner 2017

“An Unforgettable Adventure”

LEBolution 2019 was a unique occasion to meet people like me. Although I had visited Beirut several times before, I wanted to visit Lebanon in another way: by making close relationships with new friends from all around the world, spending our days on the sea, villages, mountains, cedars and even in a military base. We were learning new things during the day and dancing dabke at night! I strongly recommend this memorable trip around Lebanon for those who want to live an unforgettable adventure around this beautiful country.

Ramy El Hoss (28), France. LEBolutioner 2019

“It Brought Me Together To My Roots”

LEBolution simply changed my life. It taught me that a part of my heart belongs to Lebanon. It brought me together with my roots, with the land that saw my ancestors born and with the people who today I can call family. Leaving is never easy, but LEBolution gave me an eternal love for Lebanon that pushes me to work hard with the WLCUY so that more people get the chance to experience what I did and fall as deeply in love with Lebanon as I have.

“The Best Decision I Ever Made”

Going to Lebanon with Lebolution was the best decision I ever made. This was a country I spent my whole life hearing about. It’s where my family is from and it has always been a part of me. I learned so much about myself and this country and its people who treated me like family. I really grew and strengthened myself. I can’t quite explain it but going to Lebanon was exactly what I needed. I will always be grateful to the WLCU Youth for the amazing experience and I can’t wait to go to Lebanon again!
